Come and meet
the
Roseland
herd
|
If you are interested in owning llamas then a
visit to Roseland is a must...
Devonshire...
...is where our breeding farm is located
and main breeding programme takes place.
Here our specialities are:
 | Breeding and training llamas
for sale as field pets |
 | Breeding and training llamas for
trekking |
 | Breeding llamas for
livestock guarding |
 | Advising and helping set up
llama-based businesses ~ breeding enterprises, trekking centres
etc. |
Roseland Llamas are extremely accessible from
the M5 junction 27.
We are situated in beautiful rolling countryside
just 8 miles south of the ancient
market town of Tiverton and eight miles north of the
historic university city of Exeter.
If you wish to stay in the
locality when visiting us, there is bed and breakfast accommodation available
at a dairy farm in the village and at other farms in the area. There are also
pub hotels at Thorverton and Bickleigh, two beautiful villages just
three and four miles from us, and grander hotels with fine dining
further afield but still in easy reach...

And whilst a
visit to meet our llamas is reason enough to come to mid-Devon, don't forget we
are within an easy drive of Dartmoor and Exmoor, and ideally placed for
visits to both the north and south Devon coasts. Dramatic and dramatically
different scenery all within striking distance - that's not to mention the
beautiful villages of the area, fishing on the River Exe, and an abundance
of old, thatched pubs and tea rooms! Perfect for a weekend break or longer
holiday. And from Easter 2003 we will have a holiday cottage,
sleeping up to five, available right on the farm for just such
occasions! A fine way to spend a weekend or holiday and what
better way to get to see the llamas!

our llamas can also be seen in the following locations.. |
The Cotswolds
were the first home to the Roseland herd where it began at the
Cotswold Llama Farm.
Since the move to Devon, we have relocated a small
part of the herd to Bourton-on-the-Water, under the management
of Mr Anthony Cross.
Anthony's main interest is fibre and he is developing
a number of interesting Cotswold Llama and Cotswold Alpaca
fibre-based products.
The Cotswold
Llama Farm,
is well
located in central England, not too far from the M5 junction 9,
and a speedy journey from Oxford on the M40/A40,
Stratford-on-Avon, etc.
